My NY Life
I walk by this construction site every day. It’s the new U.S. permanent mission to the U.N., right across from the U.N. on First Ave. No windows on the lower eight floors because they figured out that’s how high a truck bomb could do damage. Kind of sad, huh?I just love to see how they do things. Note the crane (about 15 stories high) is clamped to the side of the building through the windows. One day I watched how they added height to that crane. It pulls up a section of steel with a cable and basically adds the section on to itself. Think about that, it’s crazy.
